We are Unity’s creative solution that empowers app businesses to drive incremental growth through creatives. Our technology supports all stages of their creative process, from concept iteration to creative production, delivery, reporting, and optimization.
Unity Playworks provides the best quality tools for playable production in-house and is a “go to” solution to produce Playable Ads. We are empowering the growth of the top growing companies in both AppStore/GooglePlay.
We are now building AI-powered creative tools on top of this foundation. Our new products analyse an existing playable ad, automatically generate performance-optimised variants of it, and publish them straight to the ad network — replacing a manual production cycle that today takes days. You will be one of the first engineers on this direction and will shape its architecture from the ground up, while also keeping our established platform running.
About the role
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build Unity Playworks’ new AI-powered creative products, designing the backend systems that analyse playable ads, generate optimised variants, and publish them automatically.
As one of the first engineers in this direction, you’ll shape the architecture while also contributing to the existing Playworks platform.

Responsibilities
- Design and build back-end services for our new AI creative products — analysis and generation pipelines, LLM orchestration, asynchronous job processing
- Develop and maintain back-end for Unity Playworks
- Maintain, improve and refactor code ba
Requirements
- Solid Node.JS knowledge with 5+ years of experience
- Understanding relational Databases with SQL knowledge
- Knowledge AWS (EC2, EKS, S3)
- Experience with Docker (docker-compose)
- Terraform + Kubernetes
- Self responsibility and problem solving skills
- English level — B1+
Nice to have
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with High Load applications
- Experience with Clickhouse
- Experience with Kafka
- Basic React skills
