We support tech companies in building engineering teams in Poland.

For this role, we act as a recruitment partner supporting the hiring process on behalf of our customer.

An American construction technology company developing software to manage and analyze construction workforce data in real time.

We are looking for a full-time Chief Technology Officer to own the company’s technology vision, execution, security posture, and engineering operations end-to-end.

The CTO will step into a platform that has:
‍

• a live, revenue-generating customer base
• a modern architecture
• a maturing security posture including successful SOC 2 audit 
• active product development across core platform and new capabilities

‍

The role implies being a hands-on executive leader responsible for translating business and product strategy into reliable, secure, scalable technology while building and leading high-performing teams across multiple geographies.

Please note that in Poland, we're hiring under UoP contracts, facilitated through an EOR platform.

Technology strategy & Architecture

‍

• Own company’s technology roadmap, architecture, and long-term technical vision
• Ensure the Platform scales securely across customers, projects, and devices
• Lead architectural decisions across cloud infrastructure, integrations, data models, and access-control logic 
• Balance innovation with operational stability in a safety-critical environment

‍

Engineering & Delivery leadership

‍

• Lead and scale engineering, QA, technical ops, and architecture teams
• Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Customer teams to align delivery with real-world job-site needs
• Establish and continuously improve SDLC, release management, and quality practices
• Ensure predictable delivery without sacrificing security or reliability

‍

Security, Compliance & Risk

‍

• Own security and compliance posture, including SOC 2, customer security reviews and internal security 
• Maintain and evolve policies around access control, data ownership, encryption, and auditability
• Partner with leadership, legal, and external auditors on compliance and risk management

‍

Infrastructure & Reliability

‍

• Own cloud infrastructure, uptime, monitoring, and disaster recovery
• Ensure high availability for customers operating live construction sites
• Drive operational excellence around incident management, postmortems, and continuous improvement
• Own technical responsibility for company’s fleet of turnstiles, open portals, and handheld devices in the field

Leadership & Collaboration

‍

• Serve as a core member of company’s executive leadership team
• Partner with the CEO, CPO, CSO, and other leaders on company strategy
• Represent company’s technology vision confidently with customers, partners, and auditors
• Build a strong engineering culture grounded in accountability, pragmatism, and continuous learning

‍

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership
• Prior experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or senior technical leader in a SaaS company
• Strong background in cloud-native systems, modern APIs, and secure architectures
• Strong background in modern web and mobile technology stacks preferably React, React Native, and .NET
• Hands-on experience with security, compliance, and audits
• Experience leading distributed teams across geographies
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, or integrating AI/ML-enabled systems, including
  
  
  • Applying AI to real-world operational problems
  • Evaluating build vs. buy decisions for AI platforms and services
  • Integrating AI capabilities responsibly within regulated or security-sensitive environments

• Practical understanding of data pipelines, model lifecycle considerations, and AI governance
• Comfortable operating in regulated, operationally critical environments
• Ability to move fluidly between strategy, architecture, and execution
