About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Tech Lead who thrives in both hands-on development and guiding teams through technical decisions, mentorship, and best practices.

Responsibilities
- Leading the team from a technical standpoint, and driving operational excellence, including code reviews, design reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Estimate projects, discuss the scope, question requirements, and challenge the designs.
- Being an individual contributor engineering the software products/solutions, jointly with the team
- Ensuring that the team adheres to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines, oversee team spirit and team performance, guide and mentor team members
- Overseeing the implementation of the technical architecture, solving immediate technical challenges
- Implementing good practices, coding standards and modern architecture for DevOps; being a „go-to person” for technical decisions and problem-solving within the team
- Collaborate with API teams on integration and delivery, including scalability and performance

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience, working with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and interfacing with back-end languages
- 4+ years of experience in technical leadership, balancing hands-on coding with mentoring and decision-making
- Experience working with the React framework
- A real passion for JS/TS and clean code
- Deep awareness of cross-browser quirks and responsive design
- Strong aesthetic sense and passion for pixel-perfect UI, with the ability to balance design quality with resources and time-to-market
- Enthusiasm for working with designers and product managers
- Grasp of the big picture: HoneyBook’s on a mission to improve the way our users work
- Team player with strong communication skills, egoless and transparent
- Ability to take ownership and make an impact
- Experience working in a product company with a complex tech stack and multiple disciplines (e.g. backend, design)
- Experience with AI-related technologies
- Technical leadership skills, with the ability to review code, lead hands-on sessions
- English - B2 or higher
