About the role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help manage and improve Cycode’s platform deployed in customer Kubernetes and OpenShift environments. You will focus on reliability, automation, troubleshooting, and operational excellence while working closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms, as well as the ability to operate and troubleshoot complex distributed systems in production environments.

Responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, and maintain Cycode’s platform in customer Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of distributed systems running in production.
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, and distributed services.
- Improve deployment workflows, operational tooling, and monitoring capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to ensure reliable installations and upgrades.
- Implement automation for deployments, upgrades, and operational tasks.
- Contribute to improving the reliability, scalability, and observability of the platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience building, shipping, and operating production systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster operations, deployments, troubleshooting, scaling).
- Proven experience using Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems in production environments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong ownership mindset with a focus on reliability, security, and automation.
- Experience supporting or operating systems in customer or on-prem environments is a strong advantage.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenShift.
- Experience running stateful services (databases, message queues, etc.) in Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, preferably GitLab CI/CD.
- Familiarity with release automation and deployment pipelines.
