We are helping our client – an ambitious early-stage stealth startup – find a talented Senior GPU Kernel Developer to join their core team.
The company is on a mission to make AI dramatically faster and more energy-efficient, leveraging proven academic research to bring groundbreaking technology to market.
About the role
We are looking for a talented Senior GPU Kernel Developer to play a key role in developing novel algorithms with low-level kernels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++, CUDA, and GPU architecture, as well as experience with code profiling and performance optimization techniques.

Responsibilities
- Implement novel algorithms on GPUs, pushing hardware limitations to the edge
- Proactively develop and implement novel speedup and automation methods
- Build and operate low-level profiling setups
- Stay up to date with hardware trends and new capabilities
- Communicate and collaborate with team members, including our co-founders and technical leads
- Optimize and refine our GPU kernels to achieve maximum performance and efficiency
Requirements
- Strong background in C/C++ and CUDA, with a focus on GPU kernel development
- Extensive experience in code profiling and performance optimization techniques, including Nvidia's tools for performance optimization
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Quick learner, able to adapt to new technologies and challenges
- Experience with GPUs, including Nvidia GPUs, and a deep understanding of GPU architecture
Advantage
- Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, and related concepts)
- Deep understanding of AI algorithms, including machine learning and deep learning
- MSc/PhD in Math, CS, EE, or a related field
- Experience with leadership or team lead roles, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical members
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
