As a Solutions Architect on the Haptiq's team, you will design and deliver end-to-end Shopify solutions, covering storefront architecture, backend services, integrations, and security.

The role combines hands-on development of Shopify themes and custom applications with technical advisory for client stakeholders and support for solution scoping with the Sales team.

• Technical architecture — Design and document the complete end-to-end technical architecture for new and existing Shopify stores, primarily Shopify Plus, including storefront design, backend services, integration strategy, and security.
• System integrations — Architect and develop complex integrations between Shopify and mission-critical enterprise platforms such as ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, and CDP, using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Shopify theme development — Develop, customize, and maintain high-quality Shopify themes, working extensively with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other JS frameworks such as React.
• Custom Shopify applications — Build and maintain custom Shopify applications, private or public, and implement advanced functionality using Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility to meet unique client requirements.
• Technical advisory — Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client executives, including CTOs and CIOs, as well as technical teams, providing expert guidance on Shopify.
• Sales and solution scoping — Partner with the Sales team on technical vetting, solution scoping, effort estimation, and technical presentations for existing and prospective clients.
• Development standards — Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

• E-commerce and Shopify experience — 5+ years of experience in e-commerce solution architecture, technical consulting, or an equivalent senior technical role, with at least 3 years of Shopify experience.
• Shopify platform expertise — Proven expertise with the Shopify platform, especially Shopify Plus, including admin features, Liquid templating, and the app ecosystem.
• Headless Shopify architecture — Proven expertise with headless Shopify architectures, including Hydrogen/Oxygen implementations.
• Custom Shopify development — Experience developing custom Shopify apps, using Shopify Functions, and implementing Checkout UI extensions for advanced customizations.
• APIs and web technologies — Strong hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, including REST and GraphQL, and a solid understanding of modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React/Next.js.
• MS Entity Framework — Expertise in MS Entity Framework.
• Enterprise integrations — Experience architecting and implementing integrations with major enterprise back-office systems, including ERP, OMS, and PIM.
• Communication — Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking and creativity — Ability to think critically and creatively when solving technical and business challenges.
• Problem-solving and teamwork — A systematic and logical approach to problem-solving, with strong teamwork skills.

• Shopify or e-commerce certification — Shopify Certification or other relevant e-commerce platform certifications.
• Re-platforming experience — Prior experience in re-platforming from legacy systems.
• Back-end languages — Familiarity with back-end languages such as Node.js or Ruby.
