About the role
We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our data engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure the availability, accessibility, and quality of our data assets.
Your expertise in data processing, database technologies, and ETL processes will be essential in enabling effective data utilization and analysis.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Evaluate and integrate emerging data platform capabilities, including AI-driven tools
- Own end-to-end engineering for data products
- Empower data-driven teams with curated data assets and technical guidance
- Shape data platform strategy through active decision-making and discussion
- Advance team expertise by sharing and embedding industry best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in data domain
- Fluency in SQL, including query optimisation for big datasets and OLAP databases
- Python experience sufficient to write production-grade data pipelines and ETL processes (preferably with Apache Airflow)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for data workflows
- Acquaintance with Linux terminal, git, Docker/Podman
- Readiness to follow established development practices and contribute to them
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for one's work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience in integrating AI into data engineering workflow or tech stack
- Production experience with Apache Spark, including optimisation and troubleshooting
- Production experience with Change Data Capture and streaming ingestion pipelines
- Production experience with DBT or alternatives
