We're helping our customer build their engineering team and hire an AI Architect.
The team operates in stealth. We'll be happy to share details during the interview stages.
About the role
We are looking for an AI Architect to design and build a new generation of autonomous AI systems. This role combines AI, LLMs, agent systems, backend engineering, and distributed systems. The product is live with customers. You will scale its architecture, build new capabilities, and lead the team technically.
This is a hands-on role with technical ownership. You will shape the architecture and engineering direction of the platform and guide other engineers through technical decisions.

Responsibilities
- Architecture of autonomous AI agents with persistent state and memory
- Agent planning, reasoning, and decision-making
- Behavioral and personality models that influence decisions
- Long-term memory and context management
- Tool use and dynamic tool selection
- Browser and environment interaction
- Autonomous data exploration and extraction
- Distributed systems for running many agents and workers
- Monitoring, evaluation, and simulation
- Selecting the right AI models for each task, balancing quality and cost
Requirements
- 6+ years in software engineering or AI/ML, including hands-on design of AI agents and agent-based systems
- Deep knowledge of LLMs: choosing models by quality and cost, memory, retrieval, and context management
- Strong backend and system design skills (TypeScript/Node.js or Python preferred)
- Distributed and async systems: message queues, caching, NoSQL and vector databases
- AWS, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Fargate, or similar) and VMs
- Product mindset and ability to take ideas from concept to a working solution independently
- Fluent English — B2
Nice to have
- Multi-agent systems, computer-use / browser agents and behavioral modeling
- Large-scale distributed systems
- MCP and API integrations with customer systems
- Experience with Next.js
- Background in OSINT, intelligence, or cybersecurity
